Notwithstanding this summary, tax matters can be complicated, and the tax consequences of the exchange offer to you depend on the facts of your own situation. | ||As stated under “Transfer Agent Information,” above, our transfer agent is Computershare Shareowner Services LLC. As transfer agent, Computershare reports to the Internal Revenue Service dividend income paid to Mead Johnson stockholders if such stockholder holds its shares of Mead Johnson common stock in the shareholder’s own name either at Computershare or with a physical stock certificate (as a registered holder). Computershare reports this dividend income on a Form 1099-DIV (Dividend Income Statement), a copy of which Computershare mails to the stockholder. Computershare mails the Form 1099-DIV on or before January 31 of each calendar year to report dividend income earned during the prior calendar year.
